Aspen University Announces 5-Year Reaccreditation Approval by DEAC

NEW YORK, Feb. 27, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Aspen Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: ASPU), an education technology holding company, today announced the 5-year reaccreditation of Aspen University by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC).

At its January 25th meeting, the Commission voted to renew the accreditation of Aspen University following a comprehensive evaluation of the institution and its programs and made the determination that every accreditation standard has been met. The self-evaluation process demonstrates how governing board members, officials, administrators, Advisory Councils, staff, faculty and students contribute to the self-evaluation process. The institution is accredited through January 2024.

“One of the key reasons Aspen University works with the DEAC is that the integrity of their accreditation process is at the heart of their mission. We are proud of the Aspen academic community that came together to ensure the rigor and value of our academic programs and processes. This is a testament to the work of the entire team,” said Chief Academic Officer, Dr. Cheri St. Arnauld. “We are especially proud that a related DEAC-administered student survey garnered an 81% response rate and that 97.5% of students indicated that they achieved the goals they had prior to starting their program and that they were satisfied with their studies at Aspen. As a student-centered university, our students’ achievement of their goals and satisfaction with their learning is at the heart of what we do,” continued Dr. St. Arnauld.
