Aspen Group Names Michael Matte as Chief Financial Officer

NEW YORK-- Aspen Group, Inc. (OTCBB: ASPU), a nationally accredited online postsecondary education company, today announced that Michael Matte will be joining the company as Chief Financial Officer effective immediately. Most recently, Matte has been the Chief Financial Officer for MeetMe, Inc. and brings more than 20 years as a CFO of technology and public company experience to Aspen.

Matte earned his BS degree from Florida State University, and began his career in public accounting with Price Waterhouse. Matte is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida.

Aspen’s former CFO David Garrity has been appointed EVP, Corporate Development. David’s responsibilities include heading Aspen’s investor relations activities, M&A, corporate partnerships, as well as building Aspen’s corporate sales function focused on institutional partnerships.
